626 Alexander | Railtown
Railtown? Where's that? I wouldn't surprise me if a lot of people living downtown weren't sure exactly where Railtown is. Most people in Gastown, Chinatown and Strathcona would know because they're neighbours. Railtown is essentially located from Columbia to Heatley (even though we consider Columbia to be Gastown) and from Alexander St. to the rail yards.
Railtown is known for it's design driven and creative types. You'll find custom furniture shops like Union Wood Co., coffee shops & cafes like Railtown Cafe, restaurants, wineries & breweries like Vancouver Urban Winery, Ask For Luigi and Postmark Brewing. Point being there's definitely enough going on here to make for a great little neighbourhood. That coupled with the fact that Gastown and Chinatown are right next door, Railtown could be and most likely will be the next little hot spot for Real Estate development and investment.
From what I know about the development and the architects 626 Alexander will blend in perfectly with the neighbourhood and will certainly be one to watch for. This will be a small development with 15-20 units (I think 16 to be exact). Some with private rooftop patios!
You can register on their website to be kept up to date. If you're interested in the development and would consider purchasing we need to talk! Feel free to contact me as we often get news and private tours a little quicker so I'll be able to give you an advantage over others.
Have a great weekend and HAPPY CANADA DAY!
